This is photo showing a version of the old Irish tradition of dancing at the crossroads. On fine summer Sunday evenings young local people would gather for open air dancing and local musicals played music. Winter colours in Glenbower Wood..This particular beech tree sits on the edge of where the old lake once was in Glenbower Wood. The lake dam was deliberately breeched in 1988.
